West Region Preview

First Round 1. Gonzaga vs 16. Fairleigh Dickinson This one should be fairleigh cut and dry (get it?). The Zags have an overwhelming talent advantage at every position, and for as much as I love Jahlil Jenkins and Darnell Edge jacking up threes for the Knights, they aren't knocking off Gonzaga. That being said, that three point shooting could keep this game close for a while, but after seeing what Gonzaga did to good WCC teams, I think they cover this spread as well. My Pick:  Gonzaga Confidence:  95% Gambling:  Gonzaga -27 8. Syracuse vs 9. Baylor It's a battle of the zones in Salt Lake City, with Scott Drew and his 1-1-3 janky matchup zone taking on Jim Boeheim and the patented 2-3. From the start, I think Syracuse is just the more talented team, even without Frank Howard, who was suspended by the university last night. Tyus Battle, Elijah Hughes, and Oshae Brissett might be the three most talented guys in this game, and I mean no disrespect to Baylor, but they should

First Round 1. North Carolina vs 16. Iona Get your popcorn ready everyone. The Tar Heels play at the fastest pace of any team in the tournament, and Iona hasn't looked like stopping anyone this season, but they will run in transition as well, with Ricky McGill just going whenever he gets the ball. There's not much to see here, with North Carolina just being better at pretty much everything and a pretty significant size advantage. Still, it'll be worth watching just to see all of the points and North Carolina put up close to 100. My Pick:  North Carolina Confidence:  99% Gambling:  North Carolina -22, over 166 8. Utah State vs 9. Washington This one seems like very easy to me. Utah State has been playing excellent basketball for most of 2019, and Washington has hit a few road bumps after dominating most of the Pac-12 season, and any team that loses to California is very worrisome. Craig Smith has been one of the top coaches in the country this season, and I trust hi

South Region Preview

First Round 1. Virginia vs 16. Gardner-Webb This game will be watched for one big reason: Gardner-Webb beat two ACC teams this season, and are looking to add a third. But for real, Virginia of course lost to UMBC in the 1-16 matchup last year, and they'll be looking to not repeat that this season, and I think they will be coming out very strong. I have been saying for most of the season that I think Virginia is going to beat the 16 seed they play by about 50 points, and they seem like they are going to come out firing. Ty Jerome, Kyle Guy, and De'Andre Hunter are all incredible players, and they all light it up from behind the arc, and their defense should be able to stifle the Runnin' Bulldogs in this game. Give me the Cavaliers all day long. My Pick:  Virginia Confidence:  99% Gambling:  Virginia -22 8. Mississippi vs 9. Oklahoma This is a classic offense versus defense battle, with the Rebels running and gunning, and the Sooners locking their opponents down. It

First Round 1. Duke vs 16. North Dakota State Yeah I get the feeling the Bison might struggle against Duke. The Blue Devils hold a significant athletic advantage, and they might be a bit more talented as well. I will say that I thought Tyson Ward was very impressive last night, but I don't see this team winning the game. The main question comes in terms of if they can cover, and I don't think they can. Looking back to Duke's games against low major teams, they were obliterating them, often winning by something in the 30s, so I think the Blue Devils win in dominating fashion. My Pick:  Duke Confidence:  99% Gambling:  Duke -27 8. VCU vs 9. UCF The main question in this game will be Marcus Evans. The star for VCU went down with an injury during their game against Rhode Island in the Atlantic Ten tournament, and while reports are saying he will play, I question how healthy he will be in this game. If he is less than 100%, I don't think VCU will be able to score ag

NCAA Tournament Preview

As we enter into March, I come to you with a comprehensive preview of all 68 teams. I feel that all too often, tournament previews solely focus on the first  round  games, and how those teams match up,  since those are the games we know. However, most of the toughest games in your bracket come in the later rounds, where your intel on teams is more limited. And so, I present a breakdown of every team in the tournament, featuring a summary of their season, their strengths and weaknesses, and then my thoughts. If you find it helpful, please share it with your friends, and I hope you find this helpful and enjoy it. Duke (24-3, 12-2) Coach: Mike Krzyzewski How They Got Here The Blue Devils made headlines in the offseason with their recruiting class, headlined by the number one player in the class per 247Sports in RJ Barrett, number 2 in Cam Reddish, and viral sensation Zion Williamson, who also happened to be the fifth ranked player. They then came out and steamrolled Kentucky
