Midwest Region Preview

Starting off my region by region previews is the Midwest. Headlined by Illinois, it's got a ton of great teams, and especially some great players. It also has my Syracuse Orange, so it's the region I've spent the most time looking at, trying to figure out the route for the Orange to make a Final Four run. I'll have the South preview up tomorrow sometime from 1-2, and then the West and East will go up on Friday, after we get the results from the First Four. If you want to be the first to know when you can see them, follow me on Twitter @ThreePointRange where I'll be talking about the tournament as it happens, as well as posting whatever blog updates come along. Without further ado, let's dig into some hoops.  1. Illinois vs 16. Drexel Line: Illinois -23, o/u 144 Preview:  I mean look, Illinois is going to win this game. They're going to win it handily. Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn alone are enough to beat Drexel. Add in all the other studs the Fighting Illin...

First Four Preview

After a long drought, it's finally back. That's right, I'm back blogging here at Three Point Range. Oh, and also the NCAA Tournament has returned. Jokes aside, it's sure been a while since I've been writing. But watching Champ Week and seeing the bracket really energized me, and I'm in the mood to write, so here I am. I can't promise it'll be frequent, but I'm definitely going to have previews of every region up before action tips off on Friday, and maybe I'll keep going after that, we'll have to see. Enough about the future, we're here to focus on the present, and that's the NCAA Tournament. So here's my previews for each of the games we'll see on Thursday. As always, follow me on Twitter, @ThreePointRange, for my thoughts throughout the action, and updates on when I'm posting new articles. Let's have ourselves a tournament everybody. 16. Weekend Wrap-Up 1/6: Weekend Review, Updated Top 25, and more

After a great weekend of college hoops, I have some thoughts on a few teams and some games I watched over the past few days. Additionally, I have my newest Top 25 and a preview of some of the week's best games. Let me know if you enjoy this new format or not on Twitter @ThreePointRange, where you can also get some instant reactions from me on games and news. Additionally, I'm always happy to talk about my rankings and if you want to make a case for your favorite team being higher, than I'm always happy to hear it. I love feedback from everyone who reads so let me know what you think, and thanks for reading as always. What I Saw - I don't think I was more wrong about a team this year than Penn State. I picked the Nittany Lions to finish twelfth in the Big Ten and put them in the "NIT Hopefuls" tier. That obviously looks quite stupid now. They sit at 12-2, with their only losses coming to Ole Miss by 2 in a game where they had a crazy collapse, and Ohio State...

Weekly Wrap-Up 1/3: Conference Champions

It's 2020, and with the new year, that means that conference play is kicking off across the country, if it hasn't started already. With that, I wanted to give a quick preview of every conference title race and my prediction for who wins the regular season portion of each conference. Please note, this isn't who will gain the auto bid through the conference tournament, as a lot of that depends on who is hot at the right time and some single game variance. Normally on Fridays, I'll talk about some things I saw while watching basketball this week and some previews of upcoming games, but I was busy this week and I decided to write this instead. I talked about the changes that are coming to the blog on Twitter @ThreePointRange, so be sure to follow me there for some instant reactions as well as my thoughts on some breaking college basketball news. Without further ado, let's get into the conference previews. America East:  This one seems pretty cut and dry. Vermont has b...
